My partner and I both go to this doctor. We have previously had multiple places that we have gone to and have not felt that we were getting the best service. I see Dr. Kearney, and my partner sees Dr. Darcy. They both doctors have been incredible. My doctor was so terrific that I called and filed a compliment with the company because she's been able to catch things that nobody else has been able to; she's been intuitive, fast, and helpful in ensuring a holistic approach and focusing on things that I didn't even know I needed to do. The referrals are quick, and the timeliness is really what sets this place apart. Urgent Care can have a little bit of a longer wait time, but when you go in, you will leave with an actual answer; unlike some other places that you go, you will also be more informed about what they're charging you for rather than surprise billing. All of our kids use Atrium, and I wouldn't recommend another service other than that they have been terrific to both myself and my family
I find that there are certain things at this facility that just are not where they need to be. I understand this is an urgent care. I don't understand why when asking a question about something an MD should clearly know the answer to, the MD would decided not to answer the question, or simply state they do not know the answer. If you don't know the answer as a MD then I have to question your ability in the profession, as an MD is the top of the line when it comes to doctors at a facility such as this. I have noticed that this facility also does not like to perscribe antibiotics. I understand there is a resistance issue in the United States right now, but the consistent NO at this facility is at most outrageous. I am not sure if they are understaffed or the lack of passion for the job is just not there anymore. I can see this behavior coming from a PA at most but not from an MD. I really would just like to ask this simple question why is it that this facility treats you like you are drug seeking narcotics when it comes to antibiotics? Any person who is knowledgable in the medical field would know when to use antibiotics and for how long depending on the symptoms presented and of course lab results if conducted properly. At this facility it seems they just assume most things are viral and they will go away on their own. Major malpractice issue on their part as it seems to be many people have left this facility and have gone to a different facility where the patient was clearly infected by a bacterial strain and in need of antibiotics. Maybe the doctors need to be retrained or need a refresher class on the difference between viral and bacterial infections as they simply keep missing this very simple diagnosis. The Good Faith reputation of Wake Forest Baptist Atrium Health is simply not be upheld at this facility and it is an absolute shame. I would highly recommend doing better as it is not a good look from a public relations stand point.
The doctor that we saw did not listen to what we had to say or what we wanted from him... We asked for a neck brace for my wife just until we could get in to see her regular doctor and he acted like we didn't say anything. Just wanted to set up physical therapy. She fell and bumped her head real good. Go figure....
I was having a problem with my ankle. My Daughter dropped me off, She said that she would wait outside, she was ill herself. So I limp inside and there was 2 security guards at a table at the entrance, a nurse, and apparently a patient that they seemed to be having a dispute with. I announced I need a wheelchair, the nurse got me a wheelchair, now mind you I am still in the entrance sitting there while the 3 of them seemed to be in disagreement with the Patient. Finally the Patient stormed off to her vehicle while the 3 of them discussed her mental capability. I am still sitting in the wheelchair it is now at least 20 minutes, and they were still discussing the patient, I am still sitting in the doorway, I am literally in pain! Finally the nurse remembers me. She pushes me to the intake window as I register. The Dr. that I was seen by was very pleasant, Dr. Thiebaud. What started off as a terrible beginning, became a pleasant ending..
Excellent medical professionals. State of the art equipment. Research on-going. My husband would not still be here had we not researched the best options
I attended the Urgent Care facility because of suspected UTI. I was met by the nurses assistant who was very friendly while taking my vitals. Later Dr Panea visited with me and was very attentive to my symptoms and explained, in detail, the results of the tests. Later she explained the type of medication needed and what to expect. I was happy with my visit there.
Have visited twice in the past few months and I really like this option for medical care. Visited for a minor earache and then a rather severe cough issue. Pleased with the thoroughness of the attending PA's on both occasions and they took time to diagnose my issues.
I had two visits here. Both times I received excellent customer service from the front desk and care from the nurses and Dr. Elizabeth Ichite. Dr. Ichite was very thorough, going above and beyond my expectations. I could tell that she really cared about helping me. They also seem to be efficient in getting people seen quickly. Overall, I’m very impressed with this clinic.
